The circadian performance system for teams that travel
Travel can be a tax on performance or a quiet advantage, depending on how it’s managed. Phaze supports travelling individuals and teams across every aspect of travel. Whether someone flies five or fifty times a year, crossing one time zone or several, Phaze helps organisations understand and manage the effects of air travel, covering circadian disruption (jet lag and social jet lag), travel fatigue, and disrupted sleep.
For years, travel has been something to endure rather than optimise. Phaze changes that. By combining science, software, and coaching insight, it gives individuals practical tools to arrive ready to perform, and gives organisations clear visibility into how travel impacts readiness and recovery. Phaze is delivered through two core products: the Phaze App for travelling individuals and the Coaching Hub for performance staff and organisations.
How Phaze works
Phaze is a complete solution for both the travelling individual and the wider organisation. It turns proven circadian principles into clear actions you can follow day by day, and into team-level insight you can use to plan with confidence.
The Phaze App for travelling individuals
Every journey affects the body clock differently. The Phaze App helps you adapt faster by turning scientific principles into personalised schedules that show exactly what to do and when – so you can reduce fatigue, manage jet lag, and align your body clock with key performance times.
Getting started is simple:
- Create an account
- Enter flight and trip details
- Add key performance requirements (times when you’ll need to be most alert or active)
- (Optional) Sync sleep data from Apple Health, Google Health Connect, or other wearables to tailor your schedule
- Receive your personalised schedule
Phaze does not collect novel sleep data. It integrates with the tools you already use, keeping setup simple and privacy intact.
Create Trips (concierge setup)
Although trip setup only takes a few minutes, some people prefer support at scale. Through the Coaching Hub, organisations can create trips on behalf of users: enter flight details and send the trip directly to the individual’s app. Once accepted, the person (optionally) syncs sleep data and Phaze does the rest.
Your day-by-day schedule
The schedule is your guide throughout your journey. You can look ahead or simply follow real-time prompts. Recommendations are personalised based on your physiology and grounded in peer-reviewed science and designed to feel effortless in practice. Smart notifications indicate when to seek or avoid light, take a short nap, limit caffeine, or expect a natural rise in alertness – so you can choose detailed, hour-by-hour guidance or light-touch reminders.
Advice that fits your schedule
No two travel days are the same. Add early meetings, late practice sessions, or long travel days, and Phaze will adjust its recommendations accordingly. Prefer less input? You can let Phaze optimise everything for you.
Dial in your light
Light exposure is the most powerful tool for shifting your body clock and timing is everything. Phaze’s Light Scanner helps you understand whether your environment (plane cabin, hotel room, or office) provides the right kind of light for your current phase. By measuring light intensity and timing, it gives actionable insight so you can make small, science-based adjustments that accelerate adaptation, reduce jet lag, and support performance.
The Coaching Hub for staff and organisations
While the app supports the individual, the Coaching Hub supports the team. It transforms individual travel data into meaningful organisational insight, helping coaches and managers see how travel influences recovery, readiness, and performance. With aggregated and anonymised data, teams can identify what works, what doesn’t, and where small changes could deliver big gains. Performance staff can view readiness signals, trip progress, and sleep patterns at a glance – enabling decisions grounded in evidence.
Our coaches or yours
Phaze is designed to enhance, not replace human expertise. Coaches, consultants, and medical professionals can use it to deepen understanding and guide individuals more effectively. For organisations without in-house expertise in sleep or chronobiology, Phaze also offers access to its own specialists, helping teams manage the physical and mental demands of travel more effectively.
Centralised, reliable data
Phaze integrates data from major sleep-tracking devices, filters out unreliable readings, and centralises everything in one secure platform. The result is a clear, trustworthy view of how travel affects individuals and teams, using the tools they already have.
How Phaze improves performance
- Personalisation that scales: each travelling individual gets an adaptive schedule tuned to their demands; staff retain the squad-level picture.
- Guidance people follow: practical prompts (light, naps, caffeine, timing cues) that fit real travel days.
- Insight you can act on: a simple way to see how travel impacts readiness and recovery, and to move training, recovery, and logistics with confidence.
- Performance integration: post-travel recovery treated as a performance factor, not an afterthought.
The takeaway
Travel isn’t going away. Misalignment doesn’t have to be a given. Phaze gives travelling individuals actionable steps that fit busy days, and gives staff the visibility to plan training, recovery, and logistics with intent, so people can perform when it counts.
